Governance Arrangements

The constitutional framework of the Trust is determined by the Trust’s Articles of Association.

These detail the responsibilities of the Trust’s Members and Trustees. The Articles of Association allow the Board of Trustees to determine the governance structure of the Trust so, in order to ensure effective governance across the Trust, the Board created a number of committees to support its work. Through the Trust’s Scheme of Delegation, the Board has delegated responsibility for a number of its powers and functions to the Finance, Risk & Audit Committee, the Performance and Outcomes Committee, Staffing Committee and to the Local Governing Bodies of each school.

These arrangements ensure that the Trust fulfils its overall purpose, achieves its intended outcomes for learners, and operates in an effective, efficient, and ethical manner.
